Eclipse Films Joins Leonardo DiCaprio’s Appian Way for Island Adaptation
Eclipse Films joins Leonardo DiCaprio's Appian Way Productions to develop a screen adaptation of Aldous Huxley's final novel, Island.

Eclipse Films is working alongside Leonardo DiCaprio’s Appian Way Productions to bring Aldous Huxley’s final novel, Island, to the screen.
The project brings together Eclipse Films, Appian Way, In Good Company Films and Moores Pictures to develop an adaptation of Huxley’s acclaimed 1962 novel, with a screenplay by Evan Romansky.
Set on the fictional island of Pala, Island explores a society built around peace, compassion and an alternative way of life. Often described as a utopian counterpart to Huxley’s Brave New World, the story follows an outsider whose arrival threatens to change the island’s future.
Leonardo DiCaprio and George DiCaprio serve as executive producers alongside Eclipse’s John Sachs and Charles Low, with Andrew Altar, Andrew Berg and Jason Whitmore producing.
The project is currently in development, bringing together an international creative team to introduce Huxley’s remarkable final novel to a new audience.
