Synopsis
SOME PEOPLE ARE JUST THE WORST.
Socialite Emily Fisher (Alicia Vikander) and her husband Max (Tom Hollander) invite their wealthy friends to their new château in Provence for the night. Among the guests are a group of people who, in truth, can't stand each other.
Jim (Sam Claflin) has his life turned upside down when a surprise guest from his past turns up, while his wife Holly (Keira Knightley), a struggling, Guardian-reading diversity consultant, really hates everyone so much that she gives herself a migraine and has to lie down. Danny (Anthony Boyle), a quick-witted talent agent, and Katherine (Anna Maxwell Martin), who can't stand being intimate with her talentless artist husband Andrew, make up some of the other guests.
As the evening begins to unravel, so do the guests, as dark secrets emerge, tensions rise and the party gets increasingly heated. Even the poor staff get sucked into the chaotic proceedings and the storm that is to come!
